Two days of IRC keelboat racing in the Central and Western Solent. 

The IRC Solent Series is open to boats with a valid IRC certificate and an IRC rating between 0.825 and 1.360.
The fleet will be split into 5 classes with the following rating bands:

Class 1:     1.100 - 1.360 Class 4:     0.930 – 0.999
Class 2:     1.040 – 1.099 Class 5:     0.825– 0.929
Class 3:     1.000 – 1.039 (Clubs running a day of racing for the IRC Solent Series reserve the right to amalgamate starts as required)

The races on Saturday 31st May, form the second event in the SCRA 2008 Solent Points Series.  Races on Sunday 1st June count towards the R Lym YC Keelboat Regatta.

On Saturday the first race will start in the vicinity of Lepe Spit (the tide is favourable from 0800 for boats from the Hamble, and Cowes). Up to 3 further races will be held off Lymington. Berthing can be arranged at favourable rates in Lymington. The first six boat from outside Lymington to enter for both days will be offered free berthing on our Club Pontoon.  An informal regatta dinner will be held at Royal Lymington YC on Saturday night.

On Sunday  the first race will start off Lymington. The final race will finish in the Central Solent.
